According to Webster’s Dictionary, “Harmony” is defined as “a combination of parts into a pleasing or orderly whole.” This is the fundamental benefit of a Massage Therapy session—the realignment of the body and mind.
In this fast paced, modern world, people tend to spend a lot of time learning how to ignore the messages their bodies are sending them. Musculoskeletal messages are one of the most powerful and correctable messages that the body sends. Creating harmony within that mind and body continuum leads to a resonance by which an individual’s spirit, their life force, can be expressed. This is a beautiful change to see, and we are grateful to have an active role in that change!

If someone has a sore neck, they are more than likely to be irritable and less engaged in their environment. This, negatively, interferes with all of their personal interactions throughout the day, which affects others in a great cascade moving outward from the person with the sore neck.
Massage Therapy is an effective tool to reduce musculoskeletal pain. By reducing the pain, aligning the mind and body, and allowing the person’s life force to return to the helm, a qualified Massage Therapist can affect that person and their subsequent interactions in another cascade… this one having a positive effect. It comes down to feedback loops: self feeding patterns… positive or negative.
Thus, on a very real and measurable level, Massage Therapy does change the world...one muscle at a time.
